How to Take Care of Your Hands in Autumn

As the temperature drops and the air becomes drier, your hands are among the first to feel the effects of autumn weather. Cold wind, frequent washing and contact with detergents can make the skin dry, rough and irritated. Here’s how to keep your hands soft, healthy and well-protected all season long.

🧤 Protection

Wear Gloves Outdoors

Protect your hands from the cold and wind by wearing gloves whenever you go outside. They help maintain warmth and prevent the skin from drying out.

Use Protective Gloves for Cleaning

When cleaning or washing dishes, always wear protective gloves to shield your skin from harsh detergents and chemicals. ➡️ Recommended product: Abena Nitrile Powder-Free Medical Examination Gloves – Black, All Sizes (100 pcs)

Avoid Hot Water

Hot water can strip the skin of its natural oils. Wash your hands in lukewarm water instead to keep them hydrated and comfortable.

💧 Hands Care

Moisturize Regularly

After every wash, apply a rich moisturizing cream to prevent dryness. Look for products containing shea butter, aloe vera, vitamin E, glycerin, lanolin or natural oils for effective hand care. ➡️ Try: S.O.S Intensely Moisturizing Ointment with Vitamin E (15 ml)

Gentle Exfoliation

Once or twice a week, use a mild hand scrub to remove dead skin cells and promote regeneration. Avoid coarse body scrubs, as they may irritate delicate skin. ➡️ Recommended: Sugar Peel Especial (300 g)

Use Restorative Creams

If your skin is very dry or irritated, reach for creams enriched with allantoin or other soothing ingredients to support regeneration and comfort.

🥗 Internal Care

Maintain a Balanced Diet

Your skin’s condition also depends on what you eat. Ensure your diet includes vitamins A, C, E, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids to nourish the skin from within.

Stay Hydrated

Drink plenty of water throughout the day — proper hydration keeps your skin smooth, elastic and healthy even in colder months.
